Marc A. Shear is a dedicated leader, experienced program manager, and retired Master Gunnery Sergeant with over 22 years of distinguished service in the United States Marine Corps. He currently resides in Ohio, where he balances his professional career with his passion for business development, innovation, and community engagement.

Originally from Ohio, Marc grew up with a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and problem-solving, which ultimately led him to enlist in the Marine Corps. Throughout his military career, he held high-level leadership roles, managing large-scale operations, multimillion-dollar budgets, and diverse teams across various missions. His ability to navigate complex logistical challenges and develop strategic solutions made him a key asset in both military and civilian leadership roles.

After retiring from the Marine Corps, Marc transitioned into the private sector as a Senior Program Manager, overseeing more than 15 contracts with varying delivery orders and timelines. His extensive experience in contract management, governance, risk mitigation, and financial oversight aligns well with Rescue + Residence’s mission to create sustainable, long-term solutions for those in need.

Marc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration. His academic achievements, combined with extensive real-world leadership experience, provide him with the strategic insight and problem-solving skills necessary to support and enhance the mission of Rescue + Residence.
